The City of Brea, CA is located in the foothills of North Orange County.  Brea has its roots in the oil business, it was an oil boom in the early 1900's, the city was incorporated in 1917.  As of 2010 the population of Brea was 39,282.  The center piece of the city is the Brea mall, one of the largest regional malls in Orange County. 

Brea mall offers a great dining, shopping and entertainment options but it is not the only options for Brea residents.  Downtown Brea has become a great entertainment destination for all of Orange County.  The area offers great bars and restaurants as well as entertainment options such as the Brea Improv.    

Brea is served by the Brea Olinda Unified School District, which has one high school, Brea Olinda High School. 

As bedroom community most Brea residents commute to the employment hubs of Santa Ana or Los Angeles, this is made east with its great access to the 57 freeway which bisects the city.  There are many large employers in Brea, these include Bank of America, Albertons, and Mercury Insurance.

Brea real estate is made of a collection of single family home neighborhoods with a limited number of condo developments.  There are three main area of Brea which are West Brea, Country Hills and Downtown Brea.  West Hills offers a few different residential neighborhoods, the most prominent being North Hills.  County Hills is a collection of executive homes and includes some newer neighborhoods such as Walden Estates, Hidden Trails and Blackstone.  Downtown Brea offers many older homes and with the recent redevelopment of the area includes newer developments like City Walk and Downtown Brea Collection.
