Costa Mesa, Ca is centrally located in Orange County.  The city is located at the intersection of the 55 and 405 freeways, just north and west of Newport Beach and South of Santa Ana.  As of 2010 the population of Costa Mesa was slightly more than 100,000.  Costa Mesa offers a great location, it is close to the areas major employment centers including South Coast Metro, it offers great entertainment and dining options, all this and it is beach close as well.

South Coast Metro is a major employment, dining and entertainment for not only Costa Mesa but all of Orange County.  Many national companies have local offices in the South Coast Metro area.  The area gets it name for being home to South Coast Plaza, one of Southern California's largest shopping mall and dining areas.  South Coast plaza is home to over 250 stores including Nordstrom's, Blooningdales, Sak's Fifth Avenue, Gucci and Tiffany's, just to name a few.  Some of the great restaurants in the area include, Maggiano's, Mastro's, AnQi and The Capital Grille.  The South Coast Metro is also the home of the Orange County Performing Arts Center, which offers many fine events throughout the year.

Costa Mesa is also home to the Orange County Fairground which holds the Orange County Fair every summer.  There are many other events held throughout the year.

With its location at the intersection of the 55 and 405 freeways, Costa Mesa real estate offers three distinct areas, South Coast Metro, East Side Costa Mesa and the west side.  South Coast Metro is located to the north of the 405 and offers neighborhoods of single family homes, condos and some large rental housing.  East side Costa Mesa is located east of the 55 freeway and offers a diverse collection of housing options.  East side Costa Mesa offers a range of housing from older cottage style homes, to newer ranch style homes and smaller condo properties.  The West side of Costa Mesa is located west of the 55 freeway and offers primarily single family homes in neighborhoods such as Mesa Verde, State Streets, College Park and Freedom Homes.
