The City of Dana Point, CA is a coastal city located in South Orange County.  As of 2010 the population of Dana Point was 33,351.  The Center piece of the City is the Dana Point Harbor which is one of only three harbors located in Orange County and has the the capacity to handle 2,500 boats.  Dana Point Harbor also offers great dining options offering water views. 

Dana Point is home to two world Class resorts, the St Regis Monarch Beach and the Ritz Carlton.  The St Regis is surrounded by the Monarch Beach Golf Links, a beautiful 18 hole championship course which offers great ocean views from many of its holes.  With its location along the coast, beach activities are great favorites for its residents and visitors alike.  Some of the beaches located in Dana Point include Doheny State Beach, Salt Creek Beach and Dana Strand Beach.  Dana Point is also home to one the best surf breaks in Southern California, Killer Dana.

Dana Point is served by the Capistrano Unified School District.  Dana Hills High School is main high school which serves the the city residents. 

Dana Point Real Estate is divided into four distinct areas, Capistrano Beach, Dana Hills, Lantern Village and Monarch Beach.  Capistrano Beach is located at the South end of the city and offers a few developments like Mill Pond and a collection of custom beach homes located on the bluffs overlooking the ocean.  The prime real estate of Capistano Beach are the large ocean front homes located on Beach Road.

Dana Hills offers a combination of condos and single family home neighborhoods.  A few the Dana Point Condos located in the Dana Hills area include Dana Vista, Encantamar, Waterford Pointe and Sea Ridge.  Lantern Village is the classical beach community, it is the area surround the Dana Point Harbor and offers a collection of beach bungalows, newer custom beach houses, along with condos and some multi-family investments properties.

Monarch Beach located at the northern end of the city is where the finest homes in Dana Point are located.  The fine neighborhoods included in the Monarch Beach area of Dana Point include Monarch Bay, Monarch Terrace, Niguel Shores and the ultra exclusive Ritz Cove.  Ritz Cove offers large estate homes located within a gated community which offers great ocean views.

The newest community in Dana Point is The Strand, which offers incredible panoramic ocean views on large estate lots.
