The City of Fullerton, CA is located in North Orange County, it is one of the older cities in Orange County being founded in 1887. As of 2010 the population was 153,161. While it is an older city it does have a young and growing population mostly due to being home to Cal State Fullerton.
Over the past decade Downtown Fullerton has become a nightlife destination of all of Orange County. The area offers a variety of bars and restaurants to meet all needs from Fine dining to sports bars, and everything in between. Fullerton residents also enjoy the entertainment options located in the Downtown Brea area and the Brea Mall, both just to the north of Fullerton.
Fullerton has a great affinity to education, it is home to Cal State Fullerton and Fullerton College, a community college. It also has some highly sought after high schools. The city is served by the Fullerton Joint Union High School District, with Sunny Hills High School, Troy High School and Fullerton High School serving the city. These High schools have become very important in defining some of the different neighborhoods and area in the city.
The area in the northwest portion of the city is known as Sunny Hills and is one the most sought addresses in the city mostly because of the Sunny Hills High School which is a highly sought after schools in all of Orange County. The community offers mostly single family tract homes built in the 1960's and 1970's, but also include custom estate homes as well as many condos.
Some of the poplar communities in the area include communities like Coyote Hills and Westbluff. While for those looking for larger estate homes would look at Old Sunny Hills and Sunny Hills Estates. These communities offer large custom homes on 1/2 acre and acre size lots. There are also many condos located in the Sunny Hills area, which include Malvern Creek and Sunny Ridge townhomes. These condo developments are very popular as a cost effective way of entering the Sunny Hills High school district.
Raymond Hills is located in the Easter portion of the city near Cal State Fullerton and offering quick access to the 57 Freeway. Raymond Hills is an well established offering primarily single family homes, ranging from ranch style homes to large custom estate homes upon the hill offering excellent views.
The largest draw of Raymond Hills is being within the Award winning Troy High school district. Troy High has become of the most sought after and awarded schools within California over the years.
Golden Hills is a quaint neighborhood located in the Heart of Fullerton. It is one of the older neighborhoods within the city and offers a variety of single family homes, all set in a tranquil tree lined neighborhood. Golden Hills is very popular because of its tranquil setting as well as its great location. It is truly close to every thing the city has to offer, it is just up the road of the dinning and entertainment of Downtown Fullerton, relaxing Hillcrest Park is just down the road as is Fullerton College.
Amerige Heights is one the newer communities in the city, it was developed on the old Hughes Aircraft. It is a 293 acre master planned community offering shopping, parks and schools. It is located within the Sunny Hills high School district making is popular location.
Amerige Heights include both homes and condos, with the condos mostly offering large floor plans and typically 3 bedrooms or more.
With the emergence of Downtown Fullerton as a leading entertainment districts in Orange County and the great colleges in in the city, Fullerton condos have become very popular. Many of these condos allow first time buyers into the local real estate market at lower price point. Some of the more popular condos include Hidden Lakes located close to the downtown area and Coco Palms located in just east of Downtown. Also very popular are the condos of Amerige Heights, Gallery Walk, Studio Walk, Plaza Walk and Radcliffe. The communities of Malvern Creek and Sunny Ridge Townhomes, located within Sunny Hills are also great condos.
