HUNTINTON BEACH PIER The Huntington Beach Pier is open daily from 5 a.m. to Midnight. The most visited landmark at Huntington City Beach, the pier has been a fixture in the City of Huntington Beach for over 100 years since the community changed its name to Huntington Beach in 1904. As the focal point of the beach experience, the pier logo is seen on T-shirt designs and in thousands of photos tourists and locals take and send to their family and friends. It is here that you can stroll, watch surfers, shop, dine, fish, kiss and snuggle up, learn to throw a yoyo trick and use the public restroom facilities that include wheelchair accessible rooms. The Huntington Beach Pier stretches 1,853 feet into the Pacific Ocean and includes Tower Zero, the state-of-the-art lifeguard tower where the world's best conditioned and trained lifeguards watch over Huntington City Beach to keep it safe. Stop by Tower Zero, midway down the pier to find water temperatures, wave conditions and any other information posted on a regular basis for guests.
BEACHES There are 8.5 miles of beaches in Huntington Beach, California that include a paved bicycle path and Pacific Coast Highway, both parallel to the oceanfront and the beach. Beginning at Sunset Beach on the north end of this coastal city in the County of Orange is Bolsa Chica State Beach. There are fire rings, restrooms, concessions and surfing which is popular here. Next is Dog Beach which stretches from Seapoint to Golden West Streets along the coast. Dogs are only allowed on this beach.. Huntington City Beach extends from Golden West Street to Beach Boulevard. Concessions, restaurants on the Huntington Beach Pier, and the famous paved bike path extend through here. Finally, Huntington State Beach begins at the south side of Beach Blvd. and stretches south to the Newport Beach border beyond Brookhurst Street at the Santa Ana River Trail. State beaches are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Huntington City Beach is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer season. There is no liquor permitted on the beach except by permit for special events. Dogs are not permitted on the beach and glass bottles, fireworks, cigarettes and overnight tent camping are likewise prohibited. Fire rings are available on many beaches but you must keep fires in the ring.

The Event brings together top surfers from around the world, a mix of action sports superstars of skate, BMX and freestyle motocross, as well as top musical talent – all combined in a festival atmosphere for a week-long youth cultural experience that will thrill and excite hundreds of thousands of spectators in beautiful Huntington Beach. Honda US Open of Surfing Presented by O’Neil: “Surf City, USA” will host the world’s largest professional surfing competition and North America’s highest rated qualifying event. Top surfers from around the world such as Rob Machado, Roy Powers, Sofia Mulanovich, Jessi Miley-Dyer, Ben Dunn, and Dodger Kremel will compete for a prize purse of over $125,000 in divisions including men, women, junior men, and longboarding.
PARKS Huntington Beach Parks includes approximately 70 parks, most maintained by the City of Huntington Beach Park Maintenance with facilities rentals and special events functions licensing and fees issued by the Community Services department. The centerpiece of the park system is Huntington Central Park. It includes Huntington Central Library and Cultural Central (home to Huntington Beach Playhouse), Par Course Exercise Playworld System, Disc (Frisbee) Golf, HB Sports Complex with baseball diamonds, soccer fields, playgrounds and concessions, Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center, HB Dog Park, Lake Huntington, Shipley Nature Center, Alice's Breakfast in the Park, Park Bench Cafe, picnic rental facilities and more.
