The City of Laguna Niguel, CA is an affluent bedroom community located in South Orange County.  While some development in the city dates backs to the 1950's, Laguna Niguel did not incorporate as a city until 1989, making it one of the newest cities in Orange County.  As of 2010 the population of Laguna Niguel was 62,979. 

Like most of South Orange County, Laguna offers its residents the location to enjoy an active life style.  While Laguna Niguel does not have any land on the beach, it is bordered by Dana Point to the South and Laguna Beach to the North.  These two cities are large beach destination for all of Orange County.  Salt Creek is probably the closest beach enjoyed by most of Laguna Niguel.  Besides the great beach access, Laguna Niguel multiple parks within its city limits, Laguna Niguel Regional Park being the largest.

Laguna Niguel is served by the Capistrano Valley Unified School District.  The two high schools serving the city are Aliso Niguel High School and Dana Hills High School.   As a bedroom community Laguna Niguel does not have any large employers within its city limits.  Laguna Niguel does offer a great location next to the SR-73 Toll Road providing great access to the employment hubs of Newport Beach, Irvine and Santa Ana.

Laguna Niguel real estate is a collection of single family home neighborhoods with a limited numbers of condos.  These neighborhoods range from executive homes to large estate homes offering ocean views.  A few of the higher end gated developments which offers beautiful estate homes with ocean views include Bear Brand Rranch, Ocean Ranch, Palmilla, Coronado Pointe and Monarch Point.  Some great neighborhoods offering more executive level homes include Marina Hills, Beacon Hill, Kite Hill and Hillcrest Estates.  There are a limited number of Laguna Niguel Condos, which include Vista Del Cerro, Mirador, La Vista and Laguna Sur which offers great ocean views.
