Mission Viejo is a city located in South Orange County. Mission Viejo is considered one of the largest master planned communities in the nation. Being a master planned community, it is a highly sought after community due to its fine housing, excellent recreational facilities, proximity to top employment hubs, well designed roads and excellent schools. In 2010 the population was 93,483.
Over the years Mission Viejo has been name among the safest cities in the nation by numerous periodicals. Local residents are able to enjoy the Southern California outdoor lifestyle with the multiple parks and recreation facilities within the city. There are also three golf courses to enjoy, including The Mission Viejo Country Club, Casta del Sol golf course and Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club. The center piece of the city and its outdoor lifestyle is Lake Mission Viejo. The lake is primarily a boating lake for small crafts such as kayaks, row boats and sail boats. There are also sports courts location on the shore, including volley ball courts and basketball courts.
The city is served by two local school districts, Capistrano Unified School District and Saddleback Valley Unified School District. The two main high schools which serve Mission Viejo are Capistrano Valley High School and Mission Viejo High School. Trabuco High School is the third High for residents although many residents also attend the nearby Catholic school, Rancho Santa Margarita High School.
Mission Viejo Real Estate include a wide variety of condos and homes. The variety of condos range from very affordable developments like Aliso Villas and Las Palmas to lakeview condos like Mallorca and Finisterra to some newer upscale condos such as Emerald Pointe and Mirasol.
